Agony

In the waning hours of Jesus's life, we see Him in a quiet garden on a cold Spring night pleading with Yahweh The Father in prayer. Jesus' words to those nearest to Him tell us that He is in great distress. He expresses a type and level of emotion that we see from Him nowhere else in the Gospel accounts. What is going on here? What has come over our savior on this night? The gospel writers tell us of two similar, but different prayers made by Him on this night. What does each specific prayer tell us about who Yeshua is? What do each of those prayers tell us about His mindset on this night? What do they say about what He cares most deeply about? And what hope can we find in His words and actions?
