The First Last and The Last First
Jun 1, 2025 • Carl Trost
In our last two messages the passages of scripture that we studied both ended with almost identical statements being made by Jesus. "The last will be first, and the first will be last." Both weeks we stayed in context to finds it meaning while acknowledging that the statements had much to say beyond that. This week we return to those two sayings to see their larger implications. We do that by Walking with a Giant of the Christian faith, Charles Spurgeon who preached on those two verses in 1891 at The Metropolitan Tabernacle in Newington, England. The sermon is presented in its entirety as it was originally given. What you will see is that across all of time the message of God is still the same.
