A Savior for All - Part 2

Chapter breaks, section headings and verse numbers in our modern Bibles can be very helpful. But sometimes they also break up connected events and obscure additional truths or meanings. This is one of those cases. Last week's passage about the two blind men outside of Jericho and this week's passage on the tax collector Zacchaeus have a connection which is obscured by a chapter break. Each event of course can stand on its own but together they give of a striking picture of who Jesus really is and why He came starkly contrasted against what the popular thought was concerning His identity and mission. What you will see here speaks directly into our day as well because we live in a time when, so few seem to rightly understand Jesus' identity.
