Pick Up The Hotline

This week we are looking into a parable of Jesus, given in the waning days of His ministry. It is commonly referred to as the parable of "The Persistent Widow". What Jesus has been doing is preparing His followers to continue His ministry after His impending death with instruction on what they are to do and how they should conduct themselves. We are told going in that the point of this parable is to tell them and us to keep praying and don't lose heart. Why would that be important? Why do people lose heart about prayer?
