The Betrayer's End

The most epic betrayal in history comes to its bitter conclusion in this week's passages. The personal fallout from what Judas Iscariot did to Jesus is truly tragic. If you understand the language used and the details given surrounding his demise, it is as graphicly horrifying an event as anything depicted in the Biblical narrative outside of the death of Jesus himself. The details given on Judas' death are important. We see him as this outlier figure who is easily dismissed and forgotten about. We treat him like he was a one-off figure that we need not trouble ourselves about. Nothing could be further from the truth.
