The Wicked Caretakers

Last week we watched as the religious leaders in Jerusalem came after Jesus demanding to know what gave Him the right to run the money changers and sellers of animals out of the temple courts the day before. Jesus responded by not responding to their question but told a parable that exposed them. It was not pretty. They should have left well enough alone. they should have walked away to lick their wounds. But they didn't. They stuck around long enough for Jesus to tell another parable, and this one is even worse than the last. This time Jesus is flat out calling them thieves and murderers. One should never enter into a battle of wits with God, for you will find that you have come unarmed.
