Hope In The Face of Desolation

This week we wade into the "Olivet Discourse". This passage contains the bulk of all of Jesus' teachings on the end times and His return. People have poured over what is said here for centuries now hoping to figure out the exact day and time that Jesus will come back. Negating the fact that what Jesus says here seems to dissuade such efforts, is that really why Jesus tells His disciples and us all of this. What is the point of all of this?
