Lifestyles of The Dependent and Wise

Followers of Jesus face many perils and pitfalls on our journey. Many of them come from within. Pride is perhaps the biggest of them all. Pride spawns hypocrisy and covetous greed. These internal perils and temptations draw us away from God and destroy our ability to contribute to the work of the Kingdom. This week Jesus tells us how to do battle against those things. And as all things Jesus commanded us do, there is a huge upside in it for us. Living the way Jesus tells us too, brings peace and a greater connection to our infinitely loving Creator into our lives, here and now.
