Our Hero is approached by a man who pleads or perhaps demands that Jesus tell his brother to split their inheritance evenly. With everything that is going on this demand is out of place and Jesus rejects the demand rather harshly. But it does provide an opportunity to further elaborate on the teaching that He gave just moments earlier and at the same time point out to the man who made the demand what is going on in his heart. He is coveting. Covetousness is deadly and Jesus shows us how fatal it is with the Parable of the "Rich Fool".
